My husband and I have eaten at Jim's several times since moving to Hartwell. It's country cooking with no frills only great food. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are hard to beat - breakfast for around $3.75, lunch w/drink is $6.00! It's down home all the way!

Jim's Grill CLOSED and RE-OPENED UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP as HART CAFE. Interior renovated and lost the character and small town charm that was Jim's. Some issues with the food included cornbread muffins that were too salty to eat, white gravy that was no more than colored water, pies from a box (where is the "million dollar pie" that was so good and homemade?), fried chicken not served every day, and greens that seemed to be warmed right from the can and never cooked and seasoned. We always enjoyed Jim's and hope that the new owners find their stride.

Good down home selection on a dinner style Buffett..country favorites including beef stew, fried green tomatoes and sliced tomatoes for example. Sweet tea? They keep the pitcher on the table, no waiting for refills! Lots of local in this spot!
